Various federal, state, local government and law enforcement agencies regularly seize items, including autos. Or the Government buys new service vehicles and auction off the old ones. These are collectively known as government auctions.
Another source is Banks or lending institutions who also repossess property and automobiles from non-paying customers, and sell the goods through auctions.
These auctions are real. They take place almost every day in various parts of the country.
In most cases, anyone can attend and participate. And it is possible to find good deals. However, most people don't know they exist.
What About Used Cars From A Car Rental Agencies Instead
Keep in mind, a rental car is a used car, just like any other car. But we feel rental cars are probably maintained better than many privately owned cars, as they are kept in constant care and maintenance during use.
